Krispin and D.L. Mayfield are a husband and wife duo who delight in overthinking evangelical pop culture artifacts of the 80s and 90s.

Krispin is a licensed therapist who is obsessed with attachment theory and how it relates to theology. He grew up as a missionary kid and fell asleep to Adventures in Odyssey episodes until he was in his 30s. He also co-hosts a podcast about attachment science and faith, Attached to the Invisible.

D.L. is a writer and neighbor who grew up deeply saturated in evangelical culture as a homeschooled pastor’s kid (Psalty, McGee and Me, Frank Peretti) and who now is very invested in trying to figure out what the impact of dominant culture theology on our present day circumstances. Her next book, The Myth of the American Dream: Reflections on Affluence, Autonomy, Safety, and Power, releases May 2020

Together, they offer a lighthearted yet critical lens to a world where power is idolized in the name of Christianity and theologies take troubling turns away from loving God and loving our neighbors.
